on May 3, 2023In June 1987, Quebec-based tour operator Trafic Voyages (now Transat A.T.) established its own in-house airline named Air Transat. Air Transat launched operations on November 14, 1987 with a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar took off from Montreal (Trudeau) bound for Acapulco with 360 passengers on board.
